Real Simple Weddings Magazine

Congratulations to Teresa and Burt on their recent marriage, and for appearing in "Real Simple Wedding" Magazine. The Wedding was in Saratoga, CA




High school sweethearts Teresa 28, a consultant, and Burt 33, a digital artist, often drove by signs pointing To Hakone Gardens, an 18 - acre Japanese-style estate in Northern California, but they never stopped. One day, on a whim, the two pulled over, fill in love with the place, and joked that they should get married on the grounds.

Well! they did in a colorful ceremony that artfully mixed Western and Asian elements. Before feasting on international fare and dancing to songs played on a boom box, the pair married in front of 80 guests-including family from Taiwan-on a bridge that Burt, an amateur carpenter, spent two weekend constructing. Fitting for a ceremony that bridged two cultures so perfectly.

Kala Rueksupaphol was born and raised in Bangkok. She always loved American culture but it wasn't until 2005 while visiting a friend in Alameda, CA that she truly fell in love.

Kala flew over to the US to meet with her friend Nadia about a possible business venture. Nadia also decided to enlist the help of her friend Dan Wang. Although the business venture didn't flourish, Kala and Dan's relationship did. They dated for a few months and in December, Kala returned to Bangkijm but a month later Dan flew to Thailand to visit Kala, In April 2006. the couple took a trip to Vanconver. Before they parted again, Dan ased Kala to move to California and marry him .

I'm so glad that I made a decision to have you come back for touch up before the banquet. I got to have another look for the day. Your make up was like a magic. I cried couple times at my wedding but my make up was still there without any worn out. Of course, I also enjoyed the time spent with you.
